Editorial board appointments are being finalised. Every member will be listed here with their real affiliation and ORCID iD once they have agreed in writing.
Editorial structure
| Role | Number | Responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| Editor-in-Chief | 1, or 2 co-Editors-in-Chief | Senior professor in public or environmental health with a strong publication record. |
| Deputy Editors | 1 to 2 | Cover for the Editor-in-Chief and handle conflicted papers. |
| Section Editors | 10 to 15 | One per subject cluster: heat, infectious disease, mental health, policy, methods and others. |
| Regional Editors | 5 | South Asia; Southeast and East Asia; Africa; Latin America; Europe and North America. |
| Statistical Editor | 1 | Epidemiologist or biostatistician reviewing quantitative papers. |
| Editorial Board members | 30 to 40 | At least 15 countries across 5 continents, at least half from low- and middle-income countries. |
| Managing Editor | 1 | Runs the editorial workflow. |
